BREAST FRIENDS CANCER SUPPORT NETWORK JOB DESCRIPTION

Brown University Health Services is seeking a Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Program Coordinator to work in the Office of Health Education.  This is a permanent 11-month position (one month off in the summer). The Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Program Coordinator conducts education and outreach programs, provides support to students and advocates for improved systems and responses related to the issue of sexual violence.

Job requirements are:

¨       MSW, MPH, an equivalent degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.

¨         Demonstrated ability to provide support to victims of sexual violence

¨         Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to conduct educational programs and training workshops

¨        Familiarity with best practices related to policy development and victim advocacy preferred

¨         Ability to work with a diverse population of students and colleagues

¨         Proficient computer skills

¨         Available to work some nights and/or weekends

Crisis Response Services Director (5.2008)

The Family Violence Prevention Center of Orange County North Carolina, a non-profit agency serving victims of domestic violence, is accepting resumes for this newly created position.  This position will be responsible for providing the clinical supervision and professional development of the crisis response staff.  The selected candidate will also coordinate crisis response services, which include a 24-hour hotline, counseling, support groups, court services and volunteer training.  An important aspect of this position is the development and maintenance of collaborative partnerships with other agencies in the community for the purpose of facilitating referrals, follow-up and a system of care for victims of domestic violence. Participation in the staff hotline rotation, including weekend and overnight shifts, will be expected.

Qualified applicants must have a Master's in Social Work, Counseling or an equivalent degree in human services and a minimum of two years direct client experience in a domestic violence agency which includes training, supervision and non-profit management.  Three to five years of experience is preferred.  Our agency serves a growing Latino community.  Individuals who are bilingual English-Spanish are encouraged to apply.
