aboutWhat We Do

Fatality Review Project

The Georgia Fatality Review Project seeks to enhance safety for domestic violence victims and accountability measures for batterers. The project does this by conducting detailed reviews of domestic violence cases that have ended in homicide. Through this statewide initiative, communities are able to identify gaps in system response, improve statewide data collection, enhance efforts to train systems on best practices, identify critical points for intervention and prevention, and provide a forum for increasing communication and collaboration among those involved in the coordinated community response to domestic violence. The Fatality Review Project is conducted jointly by the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Georgia Commission on Family Violence.
